SSBB Takes Its First Shaky Steps With Unstable Online Play - Japan Games and Anime

Above is an image of the Error Code: 81010, which is an issue with the wi-fi capability to play online.
If any of you were lucky and manage to get yourselves a copy of Nintendo Wii's new Super Smash Bros Brawl that was released March, 9 of 2008. well don't get to exited because you might not be able to play online right away. Since the beginning of its first release in January people in Japan have also been having problems playing online. What happens you are waiting two to four minutes in the waiting room practicing with Sandbag, only that you have a window pop up later and tells you that you had an "Error Code 81010" or the "Connection to other Players has been lost, Returning to the Main Menu. And it bumps you back to the main menu and you start the whole process again. The same problem is occurring over here in America too and players are feeling frustrated that they only get 2 minutes of game play and then wait another few minutes to a few hours to join in another game because of this annoying error.

It seems the issue has to deal with the fact that when Nintendo released the Wii and said it is still using legacy components from that of the GameCube the Wi-Fi is basic and therefore getting most of the errors even if you have a good host connection with your wireless Broadband router. Others say it has to do with the Vast amount of people playing online that there are so many people trying to get online that their servers are overloading causing most of the problems. Another issue you have to realise even if you do get to play online you still have to deal with the fact that the Internet play is a bit laggy with only an average run of 20 frames per second and delayed controls.

Nintendo says they are currently diagnosing the situation, which is causing the problems, in the mean time We will have to deal with the Fact that one of the most looked forward to "play online" video game will have to be put on hold until the bugs are resolved, if they are ever resolved at all. In the mean time you can still try to get into a room and be the lucky few to play this game online with little or no problems for the next two and a half minutes, other than that this is one of the most disappointing outcomes to come out of online video games since the dropout of Star Fox Command for the Nintendo DS.
